Report of SEACS’ 2024 Field Trip to Penang & the Bujang Valley
Each year, SEACS organises a field & study trip to a site of local archaeological and/or ceramic interest. This year, the Society opted for a return visit to Kedah and the Bujang River area to be updated on its more recent discoveries and to visit the newly opened site museum.

New Exhibition at the National Museum of Cambodia
A new exhibition at the National Museum of Cambodia features artefacts newly returned to Cambodia featuring 99 artefacts including sandstone sculptures and jewellery.

Kaleidoscope in Clay (III) exhibition now at Fort Canning Centre, Singapore
This exhibition, organised by the Society for Chinese Ceramic Studies, features Chinese ceramics from the Six dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty and is open until July 27, 2024 (closed the last Monday of the month). Opening hours are 10 am - 6 pm and admission is free. Venue: The Gallery@L3; Fort Canning Centre; 5 Cox Terrace, Singapore.
SEACS Councillor on “Lost Gold Coins of the Old Singapore Library”
SEACS Hon. Secretary Foo Shu Tieng is also an Associate Librarian with the National Library, Singapore, and works with the Singapore and Southeast Asia collections. She has a newly published article on the two ancient gold coins that were uncovered near present-day Keppel Harbour that unfortunately vanished before they could be properly studied.
