Our thanks to the Southeast Asian Archaeology newsletter for alerting us to the concerns museum directors are facing given the current invasion of the Ukraine. An article in the March 15 issue of the Taipei Times reports that Museum Director Wu Mi-cha (吳密察) has said that he does not know an ideal location to store the museum’s collection of nearly 700,000 historical artifacts if a war broke out in Taiwan, but pledged to stipulate an evacuation plan within three months and hold a drill in the near future.
