The National Gallery organised a major retrospective of Liu Kang’s artwork, from the end of July to mid-October 2011 at the Singapore Art Museum to coincide with the centenary of his birth. Gretchen Liu spoke to SEACS members about the artist and his times from a more intimate perspective and shared rarely-seen photographs and sketches.
