Freer and Sackler Publications available as free downloads

Thanks to a digitization effort made possible with help from Smithsonian Libraries and the Internet Archive, they can now offer many of their out-of-print publications free of charge to viewers worldwide in a section they call FS Bookshelf. Flip through these pages online, or download files to your digital library for later reading.

National Museum of the Philippines publications available as free downloads

The National Museum of the Philippines has been scanning some of their older publications and making them available for free download, including the Saga of the San Diego. Published by the Concerned Citizens for the National Museum, it documents the significant archaeological and historical finds retrieved from the San Diego, a warship which sank off Fortune Island in Nasugbu, Batangas Province, Philippines in the 1600s. Another title of interest may be The Calatagan Earthenwares, a description of the pottery complexes excavated in the Batangas Province, Philippines.
