Topics covered included the history and development of Chen Wen Hsi’s skills and styles from early period to late Analysis of his popular subjects such as gibbons, herons and squirrels, including a market analysis of why prices for his art had recently surged.

A brief introduction about Allison Liu
Allison received her MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Specialising in Nanyang pioneer artists and Chinese old masters, Allison has coordinated numerous exhibitions and published documentary books on Nanyang old masters such as Lim Hak Tai, Chen Wen Hsi and Cheong Soo Pieng.

She was also the curator of “Chen Wen Hsi: A Retrospective” jointly organised by Beijing Poly Art Museum and Museum of Contemporary Arts Singapore in 2015, and the Chief Editor of the publication for this exhibition.
