A new exhibition at the National Museum of Cambodia features artefacts newly returned to Cambodia featuring 99 artefacts including sandstone sculptures and jewellery.
"Au coeur de la couleur" (Unblemished colours: Chinese monochrome masterpieces 8th-18th century) is the Musée Guimet's special summer exhibition, closing 16 September 2024. This exhibition, organised by the Society for Chinese Ceramic Studies, features Chinese ceramics from the Six dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty and is open until July 27, 2024 (closed the last Monday of the month). Opening hours are 10 am - 6 pm and admission is free. Venue: The Gallery@L3; Fort Canning Centre; 5 Cox Terrace, Singapore.
SEACS Hon. Secretary Foo Shu Tieng is also an Associate Librarian with the National Library, Singapore, and works with the Singapore and Southeast Asia collections. She has a newly published article on the two ancient gold coins that were uncovered near present-day Keppel Harbour that unfortunately vanished before they could be properly studied.
