SEACS launched its series of 2025-26 handling sessions for its resident members beginning with the topic of “Blue & White” on 22 September 2025, followed up by a very popular handling session on 21 October on “Celadons“.
The 2026 Handling Season held its first session on Monday evening, February 2 with a focus on Qing Monochromes. Members received an invitation mid-December 2025 and the evening’s discussion was hosted by a leading local specialist. There were several lively discussions and ‘lessons learned” from both older and new examples brought by members.
These sessions give members the opportunity to bring their shards or pieces to pass around and discuss in small groups hosted by our society’s members. Resident members receive notices approximately 4-6 weeks before each session as spaces are limited to 12-14 participants.
Waiting lists are maintained. If you are a ceramic collector and not yet a SEACS member, this is another reason why you should join the most active collectors group of Southeast Asian ceramics in the region.
