SEACS members are invited to submit for sale:
- Asian ceramic wares (single items or ‘groupings’) or other Asian artefacts
- Books, magazines and catalogues on Asian ceramics
- Related materials: magnifying glasses, display stands, etc.
10% of the sale proceeds will be retained by the Society to cover costs, but the Society is always happy to receive larger amounts if SEACS members wish to donate 100% of the sale proceeds to the Society. The purpose of this sale is not necessarily to raise funds, but also to give an opportunity for members and their friends to buy/sell, handle and discuss ceramics.
How to submit items for sale – Artefact Submission Forms:
Sellers need to fill out one form per ‘lot’ (whether a single item or a grouping). Use the attached form (photocopy if additional copies needed.) All prices to be set by vendors, but please keep prices realistic that will encourage buyers. Historically, items that move the best are those between $30-$150. Selling prices are capped at S$1,000.00. The provenance/description of the ceramic pieces are to be provided by the owners. The Society will not be responsible for the authenticity of the items nor their pricing, and if a piece is a replica, it must be clearly described as such. In the event that owners do not know how to describe or price their items, the Society shall have the discretion to do so with the owners’ written consent (if you wish to select this option, write: “please price & describe for me” on the item’s slip). Books and other publications should indicate title, author, and date of publication.

The Society reserves the right to select the final pieces to be included in the sale to manage the size and character of the event. The Society looks forward to its members’ support for this event.
